The Gift of Moving Forward

As the year 2021 unfolds so does experiences that lead me to stretch beyond what I knew I was capable of. The beauty in this moment is I am more ready than I thought I was. I guess the perk of always being ready for change in life has finally created an ease when change comes to disrupt life.

The one constant for me is making sure all I do supports a healthy environment for my daughter. Being a full-time creative gives me back an assurance that I can be present for her needs and available to give her quality care. In order to do so I am learning to let go of the rigid structure of each day. I am finding value in getting things done on a flexible timeline.

I say that all to say when we are stuck, don’t be afraid to take a step forward. Be confident that the step is leading you to the right moments and you will have enough to care for yourself and others. Trusting the process may not always be easy but is absolutely necessary to grow forward.

I say this as I dive deep into refining sketches, editing story pitches and starting a formal writing mentorship while getting Sophia ready for a busy summer. It is all new to me, but I am stepping forward ready to do it all. No more fear lingers about what tomorrow will bring, instead a healthy curiosity finds me each day.

I bring joy into this process. I am equipped to resolving issues as they arise. I see myself and my child in our highest health. I move forward with ease because I know I am capable of great things. Move forward with power in this new quarter, even if you’re not sure where it will end. There’s magic in just getting it done, newfound chemistry in starting with purpose and intention to change the narrative. Take it all in as your truth, I know I will.

  1. I love this post! Your journey is surely an award winning memoir. I notice your growth in going with the flow and also being prepared. As you tackle the new blessings in your life God will continue to show you that this was your purpose all along. And Sophie was meant to bring you here.
